The Fine Print

Youth Program Assignment

At TANG, program assignments for youth participants are based strictly on the last grade completed prior to the summer conference. This policy ensures that all campers are placed with peers who share similar experiences and developmental stages, fostering a more cohesive and enriching environment for all. No exceptions will be made to this policy, regardless of individual maturity or personal preference. We believe that the value of the TANG experience lies not just in peer connection, but also in the opportunity for older participants to develop leadership and mentorship skills by engaging with younger campers in age-appropriate ways. If a registrant selects an incorrect program during registration (e.g., selecting a program intended for a younger or older grade level than the last grade completed), a $50 administrative surcharge will be applied to make the correction. Please double-check your selection when registering to avoid this fee.

Roommate Assignment

We do our best to accommodate all rooming requests. TANG housing will generally be located in the same dorm or split between two buildings. Sprouts and Juniors (1st–5th grade): Participants may request to room with parents, siblings, cousins, or friends who are in the same program. Junior High and High School: We strongly recommend that participants stay with their respective programs to foster community and program integrity. Requests to room with siblings, cousins, or friends will be considered only if they are in the same age group and program. Please note that we cannot accommodate rooming requests that span two separate buildings. Additionally, no changes can be made to room assignments during the conference due to limited space and logistical constraints.

Waitlist for TANG

For camper and staffer safety, there will be a waitlist for all our programs. This will ensure quality staffer-to-camper ratios, adequate space for programs, and provide the best experience possible for everyone at TANG! Here’s what you need to know: Registration is first come, first serve. When a program is full, you’ll have the option to register for a waitlist.  Your payment information will be taken, but you won’t be charged unless you are accepted from the waitlist. Please honor the process and register for the correct program to be put on the appropriate waitlist. Failure to do so will result in a surcharge of $50. When a spot opens up, we’ll let you know by email. If you decide to take the spot, we will take you off the waitlist and your credit card will be charged. We are working hard to up our program caps and will have a better idea regarding our numbers around May 5th and June 5th. How can you ensure that you or a loved one gets a spot? Register online, and register early!

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your registration, please email registration@tangeneration.org to request a refund. To receive a full refund, cancellation requests must be received before May 31st. Cancellation requests received between June 1 - June 24 will result in a 50% refund. After June 24th, refunds will not be issued. Please allow 6-8 weeks after the conference to receive a refund. Refunds will not be given for early dismissal due to homesickness, misconduct violations, etc.
