Dear TANG family,

We are excited to announce that the TANG 2022 Conference will be held July 1st – 4th, 2022 at West Chester University, PA. With 5-11 year olds being approved for vaccinations, we have been focusing our efforts on what a safe, in-person conference for all ages will look like in 2022. We will follow all safety guidelines to ensure that our participants will have a great experience. After a two-year hiatus of in person conferences, we are thrilled to bring back a space where our community can reconnect and recharge.

The TANG 2022 Conference will be independent from the TACEC conference (Taiwanese/Mandarin Programming). The TACEC planning board is continuing with their 2019 vision of hosting their conference at a different campus. Grandparents are welcome to join our conference, but there are currently no specific programming plans.

Due to refocusing efforts on the upcoming conference, TANGuidance, our mentor-mentee program will not be running during the 2021-22 school year. We will be taking this time to plan, adapt, and envision a TANGuidance mentorship program in a post-pandemic, in-person world that fits the needs of our community. We would like to thank all our mentors and mentees who dedicated their time and energy into our pilot program. We also want to give a special shout-out to Isabelle, Natalie, Lucy, and Gene who served as our “Banana Hat” Program Directors.
